The Upton brothers in Atlanta are an example of the most recent brothers and it is great to see them play on the same team. Felipe, Matty and Jesus Alou once manned the same OF for the Giants in 1963. In the history of MLB, there have been 351 examples of brothers to both play in the major leagues. Among them, there are 20 examples of more than 2 brothers to play in the major leagues. Out of them, there is one example of 4 brothers (Jack, Jim, Mike and Steve O'Neill) and one example of 5 (Ed, Frank, Jim, Jack and Tom Delahanty). For brothers of three or more, three players are active that are part of a three brother set (Stephen Drew, whose brothers JD and Tim are no longer playing in the bog leagues and Jose and Yadier Molina, whose brother Bengie retired).
Wayne Garrett gets some attention as he played on the 1969 Mets team that won the World Series and the 1973 Mets team that won the NL Pennant. He also had a MLB career that lasted through the 1978 season where he played in 1092 career games, hit .238 and finished with 786 hits and 61 home runs. His older brother Adrian made his debut in 1966 with the Braves and played in the major leagues through the 1976 season. For his MLB career, Adrian hit just .185 with 51 hits and 11 HRs in 163 games.
It is pretty simple to state that Wayne had the most successful MLB career, but it was very clear that Adrian had the most success playing in the Japanese Central League. He played for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp from 1977-1979. In 1977, he hit .279, 35, 91 followed by .271, 40, 97 in 1978 and .229, 27, 59 in 1979. With 1979 being his last season, Adrian hit .260 with 102 HR and 247 RBI over his three seasons in Japan.

Adrian played in just 547 games between the first two countries and had 113 HRs. 14 more home runs in 737 less games.
