I understand nothing will ever be done to keep this from happening every year. Perhaps MLB will cut the six games down to three with the new scheduling next year. I hope so. Though I think three games may be too much, I think its a fair compromise. Interleague play has opened up the game to where objective fans know the other teams. Internet browsers and websites make it easier to know whats going on with each team. MLB Network is on 24/7 to keep you informed with every team. Earlier on, it helped fans become more acquainted with the teams from the other league. Interleague play is no longer needed for that.
