Cabrera has nobody to blame but himself for what happened in Atlanta. Reports were his work ethic was but into question while with the Braves and the numbers left something to be desired. The Braves were expecting to get an everyday outfielder from the Yankees when they traded Javier Vazquez to New York. Instead, they got a player who could not be the team's forth OF. And they made the playoffs in 2010. He woke up after the Braves let him go and did what he should have done in Atlanta with Kansas City last season and now with the Giants in 2012. Its not the Braves fault he didn't do his job in Atlanta. Its not the Braves fault he couldn't play well enough to stay in the every day lineup.
The Braves, if anything, got screwed by thinking they were getting a better player than they got. They Braves should have been the ones upset about Cabrera not doing his job in Atlanta. They should be bitter over his success and be thinking where they could have been if he played well for the Braves. The Braves spent the 2010 season looking for a middle of the order bat, wondering what happened to Cabrera.
