NL Central Over-Unders

After doing such a poor job predicting the over unders in the National League East, I move on to a division that I predicted a little bit better, the National League Central. The Cincinnati Reds, with an over under of 86 1/2, finished in first place. While I predicted 91 wins, The Reds finished with 97. The defending World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals had an over under number which match their win total in 2006. The Cardinals 88 wins exceeded their over under number of 83. I went with 85, so to this point remain on track. But, while I guessed the over under correctly for the Mets by half a game, the Milwaukee Brewers where I have to game short of reaching their over under. There are 83 wins was a half a win short of their number. I predicted 86 wins, leaving me short. The Pittsburgh Pirates finished over there number of 73 despite not finishing over 500 for their 20th consecutive season. I had them with 81 wins, good enough for the over.

Finishing off the NL Central Where the teams that finished with the two worst records in baseball. The Chicago Cubs were given a number that seemed to be a little bit high. The 74 1/2 seemed a little too much to ask for even in spring training. I predicted 69 wins, and the Cubs finish below that with their 61 wins. while I picked the Astros to finish above their 64 wins. I said 66 which was not much more. However, the Astros finished with 55 wins to the surprise of very few.

The 4-2 record predicting the over unders in the National League Central puts my overall record at 11 and 14 with just the NL West to go.
