I predicted the Giants winning the division with 90 wins. They finished with the over at 94. The Dodgers finished with 86 wins, just like I predicted. Of course, that was over the 81 Vegas had them at before the season. I, like many others, bought into the Diamondbacks as they had a very good season last year. I had them at 90 wins, but they fell short of both my prediction as well as under their Vegas number. The San Diego Padres were a small surprise, beating their over-under with their 76 wins. I had them finishing with 68 wins, which was the under. Finally, the Colorado Rockies unexpectedly finished with the third fewest wins out of any team in baseball with 64, way under their number of 81. I, reluctently went with the over with 83. I could not have been anymore wrong.
Predicting over- unders to start the season is not an easy task. I got 13 right and 17 wrong, obviously not great but it certainly could have been worst. I was 6-8 in the AL and 7-9 in the NL. Can't wait to get the Vegas over-unders for 2013 as I try to predict them a little better than I did in 2012.
