The numbers I compiled were each player's best season after they either left the Mets or were drafted by another team. My list consists of eleven position players and ten pitchers. Assuming each player has had their best season in the majors, the team looks respectable. But I still think it falls short of a real major league team.

Offensively, this team would be able to score runs. Defensively, they would be terrible. 9 of the 11 players have 12 or more HR and the seasons of the middle of the order make the lineup deep. Velazquez, in spite of little to no major league experience, would sure up the defense late in games because of Rowand (who switched to the outfield early in the minors) and Wigginton (who was a corner infielder by the time he reached the majors). I could have used Danny Garcia or Aaron Ledesma, but neither ever factored much in the majors. Atkins, DeJesus and Rowand were drafted by the Mets and did not sign.
Here is the pitching staff, once again stating this is the best pro season each one of these pitchers has ever had.

Starting pitching on this staff is not too bad, factoring in that these are the numbers you get. The total starts equal 170, so I would subtract 8 starts from Humber and add 16 relief appearances giving him 44 GP and 18 GS. Lindstrom has the most experience as a closer in spite of his 2 saves in his best all around season. Guthrie, Lyon and Proctor were all drafted by the Mets but did not sign. Wells was drafted by the Mets as an infielder and was later drafted by the Cubs as a pitcher.
There was really no point to putting this together. It took a lot of research and was kind of fun. Perhaps I will do this with another team in the future.
