Personally, I think only one of the series will end today. I just think the Diamondbacks are overmatched by the Brewers. I understand that game three is in Arizona, but the Brewers have the more dependable starting pitcher with Shawn Marcum pitching game three. Josh Collmenter got off to an excellent start this season, but has come back down to earth and its hard to see him getting through the Milwaukee batting order a second time. I can see Braun and Fielder teeing off as the Brewers win an easy game.
As for the Rays, there is no way they can be written off just yet. Everything they have overcome just to get into the postseason has taken a lot of mental toughness. (the anti-NY Mets) I think Hellickson is a better pitcher than Harrison and can see Tampa winning easily here. It seems whenever this team on the ropes, you see the best out of them and I wouldn't be surprised if they won this series off of todays win.
And I save my boldest prediction for last and that of course leads me to tonight's Yankees/ Tigers game. I see the Yankees winning game four, but not because their backs are against the wall. I truely think that AJ Burnett will pitch the game of his life tonight and that will be the major reason the Yankees even the series. No question Burnett is soft as a pitcher and he has been horrible this season. He also possesses the qualitites to be dominant on a particular night. Tonights the night. Plus I can see the Yankees taking out their Verlander frustration on Rick Porcello, who I remember getting torched by the Mets in Detroit this year.
Brewers advance, Rays, Yankees stay alive tonight. Let me know what you think.
